Hello Internet surfers! Welcome to my blog, where I discuss random things I do and make. Mostly inexpensive crafts, hair tips, perhaps I'll throw in a few poems... we'll see. Most of the crafts I make are inspired by other blogs, YouTube videos and even family, with my own revision of course, and I'll try to give credit where due when I display those ideas that are not entirely mine. I also get cute ideas from decor stores and I want to apologize if I don't give clear directions on how to make the crafts I display. Usually when I get ideas from a store I look at how the object was possibly put together and do it without directions. Also when I find other blogs, I rarely read directions just look at what I need and go. This has proved quite favorable in most circumstances, yet there are times when I skip a vital step I had not realized was necessary and the craft looks faulty. No matter, I just try again but I'll make sure to boldly outline important steps so you don't waste extra time and materials.

These are my fancy fall balls. I used hot glue, styrofoam balls and fresh picked fall leaves. As you can see the hot glue went through the leaves and discolored them,I used this to my advantage and made designs with the hot glue on the back of the leaves. I got this idea actually from Wal-Mart. I've seen similar balls made with dried beans and didn't much fancy that. After the leaves dry they are much more susceptible to chipping corners. I made sure to get the edges down very well, and the good thing about hot glue is that it can always be peeled off. Don't be afraid to get a little messy!
This is a candle holder, I bought 2 $1.00 leaf sticker packs, painted an old glass spaghetti jar with rusty colored paint and wrapped the top with strips of a hula skirt I wore for Halloween. Both of these decorations are good for Halloween and staying out for Thanksgiving.
